The journal organises published content into the following sections.
Articles Original empirical research reporting new data collected by the authors, using quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods designs. Length: 4,000–8,000 words excluding references. ☑ Open Submissions ☑ Indexed ☑ Peer Reviewed
Review Articles Systematic reviews, scoping reviews, meta-analyses, and bibliometric analyses. Authors must state the review protocol and follow the relevant reporting guideline (PRISMA, PRISMA-ScR, or equivalent). Narrative reviews are considered only when written by authors with a substantial publication record in the topic. Development and Innovation Reports Papers presenting the design, validation, and field testing of instructional models, learning media, training programmes, measurement instruments, or digital products for physical education and sport. Authors must report validity and reliability evidence and results of user trials. Length: 4,000–8,000 words. ☑ Open Submissions ☑ Indexed ☑ Peer Reviewed
Short Communications Concise reports of preliminary findings, replication studies, or novel methodological notes that warrant rapid dissemination. Maximum 3,000 words, 2 tables or figures, and 25 references. ☑ Open Submissions ☑ Indexed ☑ Peer Reviewed
Editorials Commentary written or invited by the Editorial Board on themes, policy developments, or the content of an issue. Editorials are not externally peer reviewed but are subject to editorial approval. ☐ Open Submissions ☑ Indexed ☐ Peer Reviewed
